What To Expect

What Should I Expect at COM?

Stepping into an unfamiliar place for the first time can be a little intimidating and maybe even uncomfortable for some people - especially when it’s a church. We get that and have prepared our weekend services to be enjoyable and hassle-free. When you visit COM, you can expect to feel welcomed and accepted from the moment you pull into our parking lot. While there, you’ll probably notice people from all different backgrounds and walks of life - maybe even some people you know. While in the lobby or the auditorium, volunteers will always be close-by to answer any questions and make you feel welcome any way they can. Once in the auditorium, you will be encouraged by our passionate live-band and worship team, relevant and inspiring sermons, and life-changing prayer times. You will notice that COM is contemporary, up-beat, and simply put, fun, but more importantly, we are a Spirit-filled, Bible believing, Jesus preaching church. That’s something we never apologize for - our church revolves around the message of Jesus and works hard at communicating it in a way that is authentic and life-giving.

All in all, what you can expect at COM is pretty much what you could expect when visiting friends - to be respected, taken-care-of, and to leave feeling glad you came.

Your First Visit to Church of Motion

You’re our VIP. When you pull in our parking lot, put your flashers on so we can direct you to our VIP parking area. Our VIP team will be there to greet you, show you where everything is, and answer any questions you may have. After service, stop by the Guest Services Desk in the lobby to receive a gift as our way to say, "thanks for coming".

Motion Kids

We have created an environment that kids will love, so they can experience a loving God, and live out their purpose. Our Children’s Ministry is a fun, safe, and clean place where this happens. We seek to make our Motion Kids service your child’s favorite day of the week. Click Here for more information on Motion Kids.

Motion Students

During Second Service (11:15am) we have a program for middle school students (6th-8th grade), to encounter Jesus on their level. Middle School students start out in worship with everyone else, and then when dismissed, they head out to their room for a message, small group time, and fun games/activities. This is a great opportunity for your child to connect with other middle school students, and learn about Jesus on a level they can understand and enjoy. Students check in at the Guest Services Desk in the Lobby upon arrival at church. Click Here for more information on Motion Students.

Care Team

We have a Care Team available for those who would like prayer or need to talk with someone. Our Care Team consists of trained volunteers who have a passion to minister to people. This is also a great way to get information on next steps in your walk with Christ.

Mothers Room

We have a comfortable room available for nursing mothers. Each service is live fed into the room so you can watch the service while being able to tend to your child.

Connect Station

Located in our lobby, this is the place to find out how to get connected at COM. Whether it's registering for upcoming Discover Events, joining a Motion Group, or signing up for an Outreach, the Connect Station has got you covered. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get plugged in at COM.
